Thanks to the donations received through Global Giving since April till today, we were able to help terminally ill children by funding 79 hours of rehabilitation. Please see the photo of Jowitka, one of our little patients during the rehabilitation session.
During this period, our doctors, lead by dr Krzysztof Szmyda helped 12 terminally ill kids and their parents. We have also admitted 4 families in our prenatal hospice (for parents, who have decided to carry the pregnancy with the ill child to term).
We would like to thank you for every donation you have given.
Every form of support for our Hospice is important and invaluable, and we are very grateful for the funds collected through Global Giving. We are still gathering funds for the rehabilitation of the kids, as this is an inseparable element of palliative care which improves the quality of life of terminally ill children. The rehabilitation should take place at least 3 times a week to be effective.
