By Beata Hernik- Janiszewska | VP for Funding
Thanks to the donations received from Global Giving and to the voluntary work of HP employees , we managed to finalize the renovation works and create the Clinic for children with life limiting conditions! The Clinic was officially opened on the 28th of January 2014 by Beata Hernik-Janiszewska, the VP for Funding, doctor Waldemar Golebiowski, the founder of the Hospice and doctor Krzysztof Szmyd, the VP for medical affairs.
Many benefactors and associates of the Foundation, without whom we could not even dream of starting the renovation works, participated in the event. The most important ones, i.e. the patients were represented by Ula- the Foundation's patient since 2004.
During the 2 months of the clinic’s activity, we already managed to help 5 children. Thanks to the donations received, we paid for 256 hours of rehabilitation of further 32 patients of the Foundation.
Every support we receive is extremely important and invaluable, therefore we want to thank you all for the money raised through the Global Giving site.
We will continue to collect funds to pay for children’s rehabilitation, as this is an inseparable element of palliative care that improves the quality of life of terminally ill children. Rehabilitation should take place not less than 3 times a week.
