Awala Village, home to approximately 4,000 residents, has been facing significant challenges in accessing clean and reliable water. The lack of a dependable water supply has impacted health, hygiene, and overall quality of life. To address this critical issue, the Centre for Renewable Energy and Action on Climate Change (CREACC-NG) proposed the installation of a solar-powered water supply system.
Project Overview
The project aims to harness solar energy to power a water supply system that can provide clean water to the entire village. The initiative is designed to be sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly, ensuring a long-term solution to the water scarcity problem in Awala Village.
