SOLAR WATER SUPPLY TO 4,000 PEOPLE OF AWALA VILLAG

By Usman Muhammad | Project Director

Introduction This report presents the proposed solar water supply system to provide clean and potable water to the 4,000 residents of Awala Village, Nigeria. The system will consist of a solar-powered borehole pump, a water tank, and a distribution network.

Background Awala Village is a rural community in Nigeria with a population of 4,000 people. The village has no access to clean and potable water. The residents currently rely on water from the nearby river, which is often contaminated and unsafe to drink. This has led to a number of health problems, including waterborne diseases.

Project Description The proposed solar water supply system will consist of three main components:

  • A solar-powered borehole pump will be installed to extract water from the ground.
  • A water tank will be installed to store the pumped water.
  • A distribution network will be installed to deliver the water to the homes and businesses in the village.

Benefits The solar water supply system will provide the following benefits to the people of Awala Village:

  • Access to clean and potable water
  • Improved health
  • Reduced poverty
  • Increased productivity

Conclusion The proposed solar water supply system is a viable and cost-effective solution to the water crisis in Awala Village. The system will provide the residents of the village with access to clean and potable water, which will improve their health and livelihoods.

Recommendation I recommend that the proposed solar water supply system be implemented as soon as possible. The system will provide the people of Awala Village with a safe and reliable source of water, which will improve their quality of life.

Project Timeline The project is expected to be completed within six months. The following is a tentative timeline for the project:

  • Month 1: Design and engineering
  • Month 2: Procurement of materials
  • Month 3: Construction of borehole
  • Month 4: Installation of water tank
  • Month 5: Installation of distribution network
  • Month 6: Commissioning and training.

Sustainability The solar water supply system is designed to be sustainable and to provide the people of Awala Village with access to clean and potable water for many years to come. The system will be operated and maintained by a local community-based organization.

Impact The solar water supply system will have a significant impact on the lives of the people of Awala Village. The system will improve their health, livelihoods, and quality of life.

Conclusion We are committed to providing the people of Awala Village with access to clean and potable water. We believe that the proposed solar water supply system is the best solution to meet this need. We are grateful for your support.
