In Sierra Leone, women and children, particularly in rural areas, bear the burden of collecting water, resulting in compromised safety, increased vulnerability, and reduced time for education and income-generating activities. They are also at risk of contracting diseases such as trachoma, cholera, typhoid, schistosomiasis, and diarrhoea, which pose significant health risksIn
It is against this backdrop that the organization is combating these challenges by providing water filters to targeted communities. These water filtration systems will ensure access to safe and clean drinking water, significantly reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.
Funds raised so far will enable us provide five (5) water filters to one of the most deprived communities in the Western Area Rural District of Waterloo.
We are very grateful to all those who've donated their hard-earned cash to this cause, and we look forward to working with them closely as we strive to create more impact in the lives of our targeted communities.
