Facilitating Action for Community Empowerment. South Sudan, with support from GlobalGiving, rehabilitated three boreholes in Abyei to provide safe and clean water to approximately 5,000 people, including refugees, returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities. The intervention has improved access to reliable water, reduced the burden of water collection, and contributed to improved health and dignity among vulnerable communities. However, significant water needs remain, particularly among the most vulnerable populations affected by displacement and conflict. FACE appeals to GlobalGiving, partners, and other well-wishers for additional support to rehabilitate more water facilities and expand access to safe and clean water.
