Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing safe water for poor families. Water is becoming scarce in many areas here and this maybe due to climate change and the open and denuded watersheds thereby drying aquifers. There is a need to provide support for villagers so that they are able to have access to water at the same time making sure that their areas will be able to retain ground and rain water. Since we are still starting this initiative, we used this project period to do survey and assessment, of course, seeing to it that social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic is observed. During the assessment we selected 3 villages as our pilot because there is a source for gravity-fed water that we can tap and also because the villagers themselves voiced the need to assist whenever there is the need for labor during the implementation of the project if this materializes.
