WHITE CANES FOR BLIND KIDS

After the NDES Foundation visit on the 4th of February 2022 at the Rehabilitation Institute for the Blind which we provided them with an additional 4 white canes, we are in constant communicaton with the center management.
The NDES project was aimed at providing 40 children at the Rehabilitation Institute for the Blind Buea with white canes to improve the quality of their daily lives. These children go about their daily lives without White canes which poses serious risks of injuries and falls especially in the raining season.
Nonetheless, because of insufficient funds, the NDES FOUNDATION was able to donate 14 White Canes to these kids. We are looking forward in providing more white canes to these kids in the nearest future when funds are available.
