Clean water assistance was distributed to two areas affected by water shortages in Balikpapan City, namely residents of RT 20 Sepinggan Village and RT 3 Sepinggan Raya Village in South Balikpapan District. Both areas face difficulties in obtaining sufficient water supplies due to limited water distribution from the municipal water company, which does not flow every day.
Residents in these two RTs, particularly those in higher-elevation areas like RT 20 Sepinggan, often struggle to obtain clean water. Most of the residents work as casual laborers and lack access to alternative water sources, such as boreholes. As a result, they must purchase water tanks twice a week or rely on rainwater, which does not always fall regularly.
Under these circumstances, the clean water assistance provided by PT PLN Indonesia Power is of great significance to their daily lives. The “Sharing Clean Water” program supplies clean water directly to residents to meet their basic need
