Rumah Zakat were able to distribute water tanks to the villagers at Rasau Jaya, West Kalimantan. During the dry season, it is very difficult for the villagers to obtain clean water due to the soil condition of the village which mostly consists of peat. Despite the fertility of the land, the village supplies vegetables to the city of Pontianak, clean water is difficult in peatlands, and peat water is not suitable for consumption.
In mid 2023, Indonesia experienced a prolonged dry season, which affected most of the country, including the village of Rasau Jaya. To help them obtain water by storing rain water, Rumah Zakat distributed water tanks to the villagers. The tanks were carried by our team on the ground, and the villagers were very happy to receive them. We hope this will help the condition of the village,
Thank you for your tremendous support to help realize this program to help the village of Rasau Jaya, and we hope you will continue the support for other people and communities in need of water in Indonesia.
