Vision for Life

Rajkishor is a 70 years old man who lives in Bhadrahi village of Godda block in Godda district. He is a daily labour, but due to ageing is getting less work for his livelihood. He has 3 sons and 1 daughter in his family. He now lives alone and outbreak of COVID-19 in country also worsened his financial condition.
He was suffering from cataract since last two years, his vision became blurred and he was unable to see anything after sunset. Slowly his cataract problem was worsening and he needed help from others to move from one place to another, he was unable to do his daily work. Due to financial crisis he was unable to visit eye hospital and get the proper treatment. People from his village bought him to the hospital for treatment.
Rajkishor went through cataract surgery and now is able to see properly from one eye, other eye will be operated soon. He is happy and thankful for the surgery support provided by the GlobalGiving and NBJK. He gained the vision for the rest of his life.

The happiness of Sight is happiness of Life

Greetings from NBJK!!
“Happiness of Sight is happiness of Life” this title is really true without sight we are not able to see this beautiful world. Even we are facing problems to do anything independently. So the healthy eyesight is very important for happy life. When eyes are affected by cataract the whole world begin to look blur and gradually person is not able to see anything due to vision loss. People who are educated lives in cities and health conscious are very much aware of cataract. But people who live in remote area or village and are very poor don’t know about the cataract. If somebody knows then he/she does not have enough money and knowledge to cure their blindness. We are very obliged to share this report among all of you who bring these people from darkness to light.
Dulari is happy to get this happiness in her life.
Brief Description:
Dulari is a 67 year old lady, She is living in village Girayia, Wazirganj of Gaya District of Bihar with her family. She has two children. Her son is working as daily labour in local area of her district. Their monthly income is around Rs 4000/-, which is not enough for her family. She suffered from poor vision for a couple of years and did not know the actual reason. Eventually due to his poor vision, she was unable to carry out his daily activities. Her son came to know about the outreach camps organized by NBJK. She came to our camp with his son and she was diagnosed with cataracts in left eye. NBJK staff assured her for free surgery with the help of GlobalGiving and gave her date for the surgery. She went to the LNJP eye hospitals with her son and underwent the surgery. Now her vision is good. She takes care of grandchildren and able to do her daily work independently. She is very happy and very thankful to GlobalGiving and donors for their generous support.

Eyes are the window of our body which help us to view our surroundings and keep us safe. But when these eyes are affected by cataract the whole world begin to look blur and gradually become disappear due to vision loss. People lives in cities, educated and health conscious are very much aware of cataract. But people who live in remote area or village and are very poor don’t know about the cataract. If somebody knows then he/she does not have money and knowledge to cure blindness. So, with all your support NBJK is running two LNJP eye hospitals and helping poor villagers to bring their eyesight back.
Hari life has completely changed
Hari is a labour living in sarmundi village of Dumka District. He is 65 years old. He is doing agriculture work in a small piece of land. He has one son and two daughters. His is working as driver and his daughters are doing domestic work only. There are six members in his family and according to the number of members their monthly income is very low and not enough for his family. He suffered from poor vision for a couple of years and did not know any remedy. Eventually due to his poor vision, he was unable to carry out his daily activities which affected his ability to earn. One of his neighbour brought him to LNJP eye camp where he was diagnosed with cataract. He went to the LNJP eye hospital for free surgery with his son and underwent surgery on his left eye. Now he enjoys good vision. He is vey thankful to GlobalGiving and donors for their generous support.
Your support brings happiness the life of these poor villagers and make them independent. Thanks again to cure their blindness.
