This project continues to provide the needed curriculum textbooks for the students of Carolyn A Miller School in Paynesville, Liberia. The school remains committed to providing free and quality education to the thousands of less fortunate kids in Paynesville, Liberia from kindergarten to 12th grade, and the school is currently delivering free education to over 600 of the poorest children in Liberia who do not have any means of acquiring textbooks and other educational supplies.
This project got started on the refugee camp in 2003 and helped to rebuild the lives of the less fortunate and unaccompanied refugee kids, many of whom were orphans. This is a journey that we started in 2003, and we continue to move on, gradually developing the educational infrastructure that was damaged during the 14 years of civil war in Liberia.
The latest development, we have acquired additional 50 pieces of textbooks from our West Africa sister country Ghana for our students. The use of these textbooks has been very helpful to our students for the past two years. Now students have had good and improved results in the WASSCE examination.
