Fund Source of Income for Wheelchair Users - Egypt

Dear Alhassan donors, supporters, and believers 

At Alhassan Foundation, we do our best to overcome the various challenges that face the differently-abled individuals through our eight developmental projects. The “Source of Income” project focuses on the financial independence aspect in wheelers’ lives.

Our project helps not only the differently-abled individuals but also plays a major role in improving their entire families’ lives. To cover the different beneficiaries’’ needs and backgrounds, the project branches into three subprojects:

1. Funding SMEs
2. Occupational training 
3. Employment and networking 

Through your donations in the past months, we were able to provide financial independence and physical independence solutions for many members of Alhassan Foundation through our projects. These projects not only change wheelers’ lives, but they also impact their entire family's lives and improves their financial status.

Here is a wonderful story that shows the difference that Alhassan Foundation can make for wheelchair users.

No one knows the amount of stress that the mother of a person with a disability exerts, so what do you think if the mother is also a person with a disability?

Our story today is about an extraordinary Mother, Zarifa 51-year-old woman whose leg was amputated after she had diabetic foot since 2008.

Moreover, she has a 32-year-old son, Muhammad, who suffers from brain atrophy, despite the absence of the father and his inability to afford any of their expenses, Zarifa insisted that she become both the father and mother for her son despite her injury.

Zarifa and her son joined AlHassan Foundation in 2021, and small store was funded for them. We are proud of every mother who uses a wheelchair in Egypt.

I would like to remind you all that without your support and your generosity, it would have been impossible for any of this to happen, or for that smile to be drawn on the face of this family.
