Alhassan FDN enforces inclusion & independency of its physically challenged members - with emphasis on females and single moms raising their kids independently - across Egypt, especially underprivileged areas. We walk the talk! The employment equation has been reversed. 80% of our employees are physically challenged while 20% are abled bodies: (35% females 65% males). We finance, monitor & partner in micro & small developmental projects. This project aligns with some U.N. SDGs:
Lack of income is a challenge that faces many Egyptians. However, the challenge is doubled for wheelchair users, as it's almost impossible for them to find a suitable job. Therefore, Alhassan Foundation established small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for wheelchair users across different districts in Egypt. As a result, wheelchair users who benefits from this service are now able to take care of their families and have a sustainable source of income.
The projects solves the unemployment problem for wheelchair users, lack of income, and exclusion of wheelchair users from society and its aspects. Instead, Alhassan Foundation offers them a valuable chance to achieve their dreams and turn it into reality. Through this project, wheelchair users are able to work on daily basis, get engaged in society, and generate a source of income for them and their families. Physically challenged human become bread earners & no more dependent.
On the long term, wheelchair users would become totally independent and an added value to their families and the whole society. Even though we are intending to benefit all wheelchair users in Egypt, all abled bodies in society shall benefit from this project as it brings an added value to society and allows it to benefit from wheelchair users' talents and energy. We seek your continuous support to keep our pledge to these mostly underprivileged and challenged people.
