Dear Alhassan donors, supporters and believers,
Our “Source of Income” project branches into 2 subprojects: employment and SMEs. Thanks to your generous donations in 2019, we were able to fund 93 small businesses to our beneficiaries, that they manage themselves, and got 37 other people employed in decent fulltime jobs. Through these two subprojects, we were able to achieve financial independence to our beneficiaries; enable them to be bread earners NOT a burden.
We would like to share with you a couple of our beneficiaries’ success stories. Marian is a 29-years-old lady who is quadriplegic due to a spinal cord injury. Marian is well-educated and was looking for a good job but some of the businesses owners don’t want to hire challenged people. Through our connections and advocating for challenged people, we were able to employ her in one of the reputable banks in Egypt in the operations department.
Our second story is Mohamed’s, he was unemployed and financially dependent on his family after he lost his job due to his accident which led to paraplegia. He wanted to change that, he has a kid and he wanted to give him a better life and so he sought our support to start a business for him. With hard-work and dedication, Mohamed was able to run a successful stationery store, not only that, but he was also able to grow that business and add other services, like: online payment and a copying machine.
Right now we are working on partnerships with different certified entities that provide various essential work skills to qualify our beneficiaries to get employed in proper jobs.
