This project will provide safe shelter, basic care, and protection for 80 street children in Ghana who currently live in unsafe conditions. Many of these children lack stable housing, access to food, and protection from abuse. The project will offer a safe place to stay, daily meals, and access to basic support services to help restore stability and dignity to their lives.
Many children in Ghana live on the streets due to poverty, family breakdown, neglect, or abuse. These children are exposed to hunger, exploitation, violence, and poor health conditions. Without shelter and support, they are at high risk of long-term homelessness, lack of education, and continued poverty. Most have no safe environment to grow, learn, or develop.
This project will provide safe temporary shelter for 80 street children, offering them a secure living environment, regular meals, and basic care. The program will also connect children to social services, including education enrollment, health checks, and family tracing where possible. Trained caregivers will support their daily needs and help transition them into safer long-term care or reintegration with families.
This project will give street children stability, safety, and access to basic human needs, which are essential for healthy development. Over time, it will reduce the number of children living on the streets and improve access to education and social services. Many of these children will have the opportunity to reintegrate into society, attend school, and build productive futures.
