This project will provide 350 girls in need of school supplies with the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom in deprived communities of Ghana. Money raised will go towards purchasing pencils and notebooks, school uniforms and school bags for at-risk girls.
Girls in the slum communities of Ghana are faced with many challenges regarding their rights to access education. Those who are fortunate to be in class also find challenges in getting school supplies that will facilitates and motivates them to go to school.
Providing school supplies such as school uniforms, books, sandals, bags and other learning materials will decrease the rate of school dropout among girls within the slum communities. By providing school materials, girls will be motivated and inspired to be in class always and hence increase their learning abilities.
In the long run, many girls will stay in school and contribute to every activities the school or class in taking. This will produces lots of educated women within these communities who are ready to help transform the conditions of women and children for better.
