Once again, Fondation Tous Ensemble wants to thank you for the support you give us every month. Your help has been essential for the operation of our center during these months.
In the month of July, the center reopened its doors to the community in a normal way and with all its equipment. During the months of June, July and August, we had two local volunteers, physiotherapy students from UNIFA (Port au Principe) and in the month of September we began to receive Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy students from the FSRL University again, this is a very significant activity for us as a foundation since it allows us to collaborate in the expansion of knowledge and strengthening of Rehabilitation in the country.
In Haiti, COVID cases have dropped considerably, almost non-existent at this time, which has allowed us to carry out different activities in our community, distribution of wheelchairs, distribution of 100 buckets filter (for drinking water) in the community of Beraud and Guilleme. In collaboration with the NGO America Solidaria we distributed 300 hygiene kits for associations of people with disabilities and patients, participation as a medical team in the annual South Haiti cycle (3 days), support for the local first division soccer team in the center and during matches, training for parents of children who attend therapy on how to support their children, their rights and the importance of rehabilitation and we received a new donation of 240 wheelchairs thanks to the NGO Hope for Haiti and Rotary Club Naples USA.
In addition to this, from June to September 2665 therapy sessions were held, received/served 480 Patients, of which 198 children and 282 Adults. They were 48 attentions made for 13 children with clubfoot. In addition 174 orthoses manufactured and 8 Prosthesis repaired.
