This project will improve access to emergency medical transport by providing life-saving ambulance services in Ghana, especially for rural and underserved communities. Many patients face delays in reaching hospitals due to lack of reliable emergency transport, leading to preventable deaths. This project will help ensure that critically ill patients receive timely medical care through fast and safe ambulance response.
In many parts of Ghana, especially rural communities, access to emergency medical transport is limited or unavailable. When emergencies such as accidents, pregnancy complications, or sudden illnesses occur, patients often struggle to reach healthcare facilities quickly. These delays can lead to severe complications, long-term disability, or even death.
This project will support the provision and coordination of ambulance services to transport critically ill or injured patients to medical facilities quickly and safely. It will strengthen emergency response capacity and improve referral systems between communities and hospitals. The service will prioritize urgent cases such as maternal emergencies, accidents, and life-threatening conditions.
The project will significantly improve survival rates for emergency cases by reducing delays in accessing medical care. Over time, it will strengthen emergency healthcare systems in rural areas, improve trust in health services, and contribute to lower mortality rates. Communities will benefit from faster, more reliable access to life-saving medical support.
