Hi, thank you so much for your financial support for this important Project. The building of the Kimbilio School has had an enormous effect on the lives of children who have been living on the streets of Lubumbashi. Whilst on the streets, the children would have fallen behind in their education and this will make it more difficult for them to get good employment when they are older.
When the street children make contact with Kimbilio at the Day Centre in Lubumbashi, part of the package of care that the team consider is to get the children a place at the Kimbilio school. The School serves children from Nursery age up to Secondary level and has a gained a good reputation for the quality of teaching. The School has an IT suite, which is not present in all State schools, so the children are able to gain the IT skills that are necessary for so many jobs nowadays.
