Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing gift of farming inputs to poor farmers. In our previous work, our focus was in the provision of small garden tools, farming equipment, vegetable seeds together with technical assistance to farmers. We have shifted gears during this time and focus our support to the provision of fruit tree seedlings to farmers. Fruit trees provide income at 4 years of age and there is a perennial lack of fruit tree seedlings in the area so farmers are unable to expand their fruit tree farms. The farming system that we explained to farmers is what we call agroforestry or the mix of trees and cash crops in order for farmers to have food while the trees are growing. This reporting period we were able to distribute 300 fruit tree seedlings and we will provide more in the coming months. Again thank you very much.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre

Small farmer support

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing gift of farming inputs to poor farmers. This period in time is indeed very difficult for poor farmers because of skyrocketing prices in fuel and farming inputs like fertilizer and seeds making farming difficult and unprofitable. Subsidies in order for poor farmers to augmen their farm capital is very much needed and we need to find ways to support this. In this situation we focused our effort for this period the provision of vegetable seeds and organic fertilizer to 75 farming families in order to augment their resources. We make it a priority to select the poorest of the poor in 3 villages for this support. Hoping that you will continue to provide us with your support. Thank you so much.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative gifting farmers with farming inputs. Thanks a lot too to local donors who provided us with direct technical and material support. The technical support comes from local technicians of the agriculture and education departments. We are indeed happy to see that this project is going smoothly and hoping for your continuing help. This reporting period we engage the services of a local blacksmith in order to produce 500 small farming tools that we were able to distribute to farmers. We focus our support to those affected by the recent calamity.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre

Farming input provision for agro reforestation
Farming input provision for agro reforestation

Dear Friend,

Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative gift farming inputs for poor farmers. Agro reforestation is combination of the growing of trees, vegetables and the raising of farm animals. We are promoting this concept because it provide farmers with multiple income streams. The problem we met before with pure tree growing initiative is that farmers often ask how long do they get income from the trees. They are discouraged knowing that it will take 5-7 years for them to earn any income or to get economic benefits from the trees. With the agro reforestation approach they are assured of steady income streams even at the outset of the farming enterprise. This reporting period we are able to provide 23 farmers with various farming inputs such as small animals like pigs and goats, vegetable seeds and food supply to the really destitute. Hoping for your continuing assistance to this project.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative giving gifts of farming inputs to poor farmers. During this reporting period and amidst the danger and ravages of the coronavirus pandemic we provided poor farmers in 3 villages here with vegetable seeds, organic fertilizer and seedlings of high-valued fruit and timber trees. Tree seedlings are difficult to procure and this is one of the problems of resource-poor farmers. The seedlings are sometimes very expensive and our farmers are unable to purchase and raise them. We were able to provide 300 seedlings to 20 farmers during this period and they are very happy about this. Hoping for your continuing support to this important initiative. We want to reach-out to 1,000 farmers until the end of this year.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre
