In Malawi, many young girls who experience abuse are left without support, protection, or hope. Through our safe home, we provide a full year of counseling and care, helping each girl heal from trauma and rebuild her life with dignity and purpose.
Across rural Malawi, girls face heartbreaking realities. Many are often abused by someone they know. Some even become pregnant as a result. Others are rejected by their families or left to carry their trauma alone in silence. Without intervention, the wounds deepen. Shame, isolation, and fear take root. For many, there is no safe place to go and no one to walk with them through healing.
This project ensures that every girl who enters our safe home is met with a warm, loving welcome in one of the most difficult moments of her life. When a girl arrives, she is often carrying shame and deep uncertainty. Our first priority is to make sure she immediately experiences safety and dignity, not just in words, but through tangible provision. We provide: Comfortable clothing and shoes Clean beddings Essential hygiene items A school backpack
Girls like those we serve arrive broken by trauma, but they do not have to remain that way. With consistent care, truth, and community, we see transformation: Fear replaced with safety Shame replaced with dignity Isolation replaced with belonging Brokenness replaced with hope This is not short-term relief. This is lasting change.
