The new well at the Matende Girls school was recently completed and handed over the the water committee at the school.
The students and staff complete sanitation and hygiene training earlier this year in preparation for the project.
Our implementing partner reported from the dedication ceremony (seen in the pictures) that: (unedited)
"The Headmistress of Matende secondary school was very pleased for the water project for providing water for the school. She also appreciated Bridge Water Project for the great support towards the school water. She said the water will help the students and the neighbouring primary school.
They had been suffering very much looking for water but now they are safe and the school has improved its sanitation and the students hygiene has gone up."
The new well is located at near Kakamega, Kenya:
