Our clean water project in rural South Kivu is currently in its preparation and resource-mobilization phase. We are working to identify trainers and learners who will take part in the planned hygiene education and capacity-building activities, while continuing to mobilize the resources needed to establish sustainable water catchment systems and improve access to safe water for approximately 1,000 people.
The project has an estimated budget of US$9,500, and we have received our first US$38 in donations. Although we still have a significant funding gap, we are encouraged by this first step and remain committed to reaching our goal. We are grateful to every donor who has contributed and to GlobalGiving for providing a platform that connects our local project with a global community of supporters.
We invite more people to join us in this effort. With your support, we can help families move from unsafe water sources toward safer water, better health, and greater dignity. Every contribution brings us one step closer to reaching 1,000 people in rural South Kivu. Thank you for standing with these communities.
