Provide care for malnourished children in Haiti

Dear Friends,  

On behalf of all our staff and patients, thank you for your generous giving to Partners In Health! We are so grateful for your partnership in supporting our fight against child malnutrition in Haiti.

Haiti is grappling with an escalating humanitarian crisis, pushing the country closer to famine. Armed groups are operating in the areas where we work, which really impacts how we can address malnutrition.

Despite this, all facilities are open and providing essential care. For our community health workers addressing child malnutrition, this work is a testament to their unwavering compassion. Our team continues to work to fulfill our promise to Haitian children.

Over the past 5 months,we manufactured 44,729kg of Nourimanba, our fortified, peanut-based food supplement used to treat children with malnutrition.The nutrition program continues to support patients in 12 sites. Over the same five months, almost 6,000 patients were fed from the nutrition program, and 43,418kg of Nourimanba was distributed. Through mobile clinics outreach, patients who are malnourished are referred to our facilities to receive treatment. The team accomplished 144 mobile clinics between Hinche and Saint- Marc from July to Sept 2024.

We have an emergency protocol in place that focuses on the continuity of essential health services, which includes child malnutrition programs. We are truly grateful for our staff’s immense bravery, as they remain committed to serve those most in need.
