Disasters such as fires, floods, and severe storms can force families in Ghana to leave their homes with few or no belongings. Displaced families may struggle to obtain blankets and other basic necessities, particularly when they have limited financial resources. Adjah Cancer Support Ghana aims to provide blankets to 300 displaced families to help them stay warm and improve their comfort while they cope with difficult living conditions.
Families displaced by disasters often lose access to their homes, bedding, clothing, and other essential household items. Many must stay in temporary shelters, overcrowded accommodation, or with relatives while trying to recover from their losses. For low-income households, replacing blankets can be difficult when available resources must also cover food, healthcare, clothing, and transportation.
Adjah Cancer Support Ghana aims to distribute blankets to 300 displaced families affected by disasters in Ghana. The project will identify eligible households in collaboration with community leaders and relevant local authorities, prioritizing families with limited resources and urgent needs. Donations will be used to purchase and distribute blankets according to the number of families reached and the available budget.
The project aims to improve the comfort and well-being of 300 displaced families by helping them obtain essential bedding during a difficult period. Access to blankets can help households establish more comfortable sleeping arrangements and reduce the burden of replacing basic belongings after a disaster. The initiative will also encourage community solidarity and support for families experiencing displacement.
