We love the moment when we are surrounded by beautiful books and have the chance to inscribe inspiring messages that will reach children on the other side of the globe! In our office these past weeks, our greenlight for girls science team, a group of special students, have been diligently putting together our next Science Library that will be shipped to our upcoming events in Africa.
These young girls gather donated books that range in every "science"-related topic, from discovery, nature to how things work, in any language and for various age groups. They are designed to start or contribute to local schools and orphanages that need learning resources, especially for the young children in the community, where printed books and access to information may be scarce.
These past months, the team has enjoyed writing messages to encourage the future reader to find enjoyment in learning. These books are now being put in place for future events in Nigeria, Ethiopia - as well as other areas in the world, Delhi & Mumbai in India where our organisation is going next!
