Science Library ready to go to the DRC!

By Melissa Rancourt | Founder & Chairman, greenlight for girls

Books ready to ship!
Books ready to ship!

Our office is again inundated with more lovely, colourful science and math-related books!  Thanks to our partnerships with schools and for our greenlight girls, we have several boxes of books in English, French & Dutch that are ready to be shipped out.

Where are they headed to?

The funds that you are providing will help us send these books to the Democratic Republic of the Congo for a small science library installation at one of our partner schools.

How are we getting the books ready?

For the past few weeks and for the next few, we have our greenlight girls' interns working on several projects in our office.  Our interns are young students of all ages who wish to contribute to greenlight for girls by working on initiatives to reach children around the world and encourage them to study science.  One of the projects is our Science Library -- so the girls are helping to inscribe our newly donated books with inspiring messages for the children in the DRC to see.

What is next?

Our office will be a buzz of activity in these coming weeks as we get ready to ship them to the school in the Congo.  Thanks for all your help to make this happen!!
