Due to the complex humanitarian situation in Yemen, characterized by political instability and banking challenges, the allocated funds for bag distribution have yet to reach Building Foundation for Development. This delay in financial transfer has hindered the commencement of distribution. We are currently coordinating with GlobalGiving to address these obstacles and explore alternative methods of fund transfer that comply with international regulations while navigating the unique challenges of the Yemeni financial system. The ongoing conflict and economic instability in the country have created additional hurdles in implementing our planned activities. However, we remain committed to our mission and are actively monitoring the situation on the ground. Once the funds are successfully transferred and the situation in Yemen shows signs of stabilization, we will swiftly initiate the direct distribution of bags to the intended beneficiaries. Our team is preparing contingency plans to ensure a rapid and efficient distribution process as soon as circumstances allow, prioritizing the safety of our staff and the communities we serve.
