Dear Supporter,
This weekend, 6th September, staff and volunteers at our rhino project are taking part in our very own Run for Rhinos and we need your support! We are running to raise much-needed funds to assist our anti-poaching unit.
The run is going to be a 15km/9.3mile race around Karongwe Game Reserve and all of the money that we raise is going to go towards staff expenses and equipment so that they can better protect these beautiful animals. With your help and support we can increase our resources and adopt and implement better and more effective, long-term solutions to the crisis that we face.
In 2014, a recorded 1215 rhinos were poached and as of April 30, 393 rhinos have already been poached in 2015. These numbers are not sustainable and at these current rates deaths are overtaking births and we are facing the reality that the rhinos will be gone from the wild by 2025.
Help us so that we can see these magnificent animals grow and thrive in a safe and natural environment for many more generations to come.
Thank you for your support!
With Gratitude,
GVI-South Africa
