Dear Donors, supporters and well-wishers,
We would like to extend our warm ‘ Namaste’ , greetings and sincere thanks to all the Prestigious Donors and supporters on behalf of our children and SDO-Nepal Team which made possible to ensure the future of our orphans and abandoned children for their food, shelter, education, clothing and medical care. THANK YOU ALL!! For your kindness and love.
We have been running our child home since 1 year and protecting 7 orphans and abandoned children and planning to accommodate more needy children who are at-risk from this Academic Session i.e. April,2014. All our children are studying in an English Medium Boarding School at Kathmandu. Our child Nishan( 8 years) studying at Class-1 secured 8th position in the second term exam. Due to his hard labour he obtained 97 in Math, 96 in English and 92 in Science( 91.86% in average). Distinction with excellent result. Priya( 10 years) studying at Class-3 secured 18th position in second term exam with great improvement securing 81 in Math, 76 in English and 55 in Science( 75.75% in average). Srijana( 5 years) studying in Class-LKG has got an excellent result in second term exam secured 3rd Position obtaining 99 in English, 93.5 in Math and 88.5 in Science. Subash(5 years)- Class: LKG, Durga(6 years)-Class: LKG, Nishchal( 4 years)- Class: Nursery ‘B’ has also improved their study.
We have appointed a Tution Teacher lady and a Care Giver lady in a very nominal salary (@Nrs 2000+ Food/staff/month) who looks after every activities of our children and orphanage in a homely environment. We are paying Nrs 10,000/month for house rent, Nrs 8,000/month for school fee, Nrs 7,000/year for stationary, purchased wooden bookshelves/drawers Nrs 6,000*2. Presently, our children were using Mattress for sleeping, but, after receiving Donations through Globalgiving , we have ordered 6 nos. of 2 storied metal beds Nrs 11,000*6=66,000. We are providing 2 pairs of school uniforms and out dresses too to each children and also planning to provide 2 pairs of our Orphanage Uniform with our logo.
Our children are getting very nutritious and hygienic food including school tiffin with varieties of food as per our weekly food schedule. We have appointed a General Physician Doctor and a Child Psychologist, presently , on voluntary basis to care our children. Fortunately, since 1 year no one is sick at our child home and hence we do not have to invest more money for treatment.
Our children has participated in different sports and cultural programs at their School Festival. Priya win the prize on sport competition. We also organize drawing competition and cultural programs in our child home too.
Our prestigious Donor Krystina Janus from USA visited our Orphanage on Dec. 2013. During her 2 hours visit ,our children shared love and joys with some gift items and enjoyed a lot. Really, it was a quite memorable moment to all of us. THANK YOU !! Krystina for your love and great help. Similarly, our another prestigious Donor Yubaraj Khaniya from NRN-Australia also visited our orphanage on Dec.2013 and shared the love with our children. THANK YOU!! Yubaraj Khaniya for your support.
Dear valued Donors and Supporters, we were running with a high financial deficit, but, from the love and support from all of you ,our hopes are sprouting and getting encouragement to protect more needy children in coming days. Your continuous support, encouragement, love and blessings is heartily requested to ensure the future of these children.
