Protect orphans and abandoned children in Nepal

Dear friends,

Namaste and Greetings,

It’s our great pleasure to share with you all friends the Quarterly progress report of SDO-Nepal’s child-home-orphanage for the duration of 21 January to 14 May,2020 as follows:

You all know well, now, the world is fighting with a pandemic disease COVID-19. So many families and people around the world have lost their loved ones and there are many cases of infected as well as fortunate ones of recovered from this disease. In this difficult situation, we extend our love and positive vibes  wishing of speedy recovery to all the lovely people and families around the world.
In Nepal, till to date, there are 246 infected cases of COVID-19 and happy to share that there is no any death in Nepal.

All the SDO children and families are safe . Some children were sent with their relatives before locked down. Rest children are staying inside child home with care giver sister studying,  watching TV, Playing  games and maintaining  garden during these holidays. We have stocked the sanitizer, soaps , food stuffs, first aid medicines, groceries as per our requirement. They are strongly instructed to maintain hygienic and safety.

1)Educational progress of children: 

Children have received the OUTSTANDING and Excellent Result in 3^rd  -TERM-EXAM  of Feb. The TOP ACHIEVERS are:

 *  PRATIKSHYA, class-3 GPA: 3.77( 94.25 % )
 *   ROSHANI, class-3 GPA: 3.77( 94.25 %)
 *  SABITA, class-1 GPA: 3.47 ( 86.75 %)
 *  DOLMA, class-5 GPA: 3.44 ( 86 %)
 *  SRIJANA, class-4 GPA: 3.44 ( 86 %)
 *  SUSMITA, class-5 GPA: 3.28 ( 82 %)
 *  PEMBA, class-4 GPA : 3.16 ( 79 % )
 *  KARISHMA, class-4 GPA: 3.08 ( 77 %)

Rest girls also received good results.

• Children are waiting for  the results of  FINAL EXAM. It is being delayed due to COVID-19.

2) Others:

• PRIYA, class-10 is awarded with MEDAL on winning the 1^st-Position on Volleyball-Competition at school through Green House.
• Dr. Swekchha  has conducted the regular health check up to all children at child-home. Dr advised us that all the children are in good health. THANK YOU Dr for your support.
• Children celebrated Nepali New-Year-2077 and Mother’s Day eve and festivals with great joy.
• Due to the COVID-19 situation, school is closed since months and it may still prolonged. Children are maintaining garden as a part of their recreation.

Financial status:

During this 4 months of period we paid for food /water/ hygiene -$ 650. Tution fee /stationery paid $ 70. Electricity/ TV Cable charges paid-$ 37. Medicines-$10. Care-Giver and Tution Teacher’s salary paid- $ 520. House rent paid- $ 920.

 Dear friends, from the love and support from all of you, our hopes are sprouting and getting encouragement to protect more needy children and run the orphanage sustainably. But, due to the  highly increasing market price day by day and rapidly increasing education costs,   it is being hard to provide the fundamental needs to our orphans and abandoned children. Your every donation is precious and will bring the significant changes on the life of these orphans and abandoned children. we look forward for your continuous support, encouragement and hoping that you will spread your kind  words to support on our Cause. These are also your own children.
