Dear friends,

Namaste and Greetings,

It’s our great pleasure to share with you all  friends the Quarterly progress report of SDO-Nepal’s child-home-orphanage for the duration of  26 April to-date as follows:

1)                    Our story:

 DOLMA who is studying at class-5 is AWARDED with MEDAL, school bag, essay book and stationery from her school on the auspicious occasion of Teacher's-Day as she received GPA-3.26 an EXCELLENT-RESULT out of 3.50 on the final exam and secured 2nd-POSITION on her class. DOLMA is well disciplined and very industrious student and hence, receiving outstanding results since 4 years.”

  2)Achievements:

 a)Educational progress of children: 

 Children has just completed their 1st-TERM-EXAM and waiting for result. However, the school has continued their classes normally.

  • Pemba and Karishma of class-4 received full marks i.e. 10/10, 20/20 on the class tests of English subjects.
  • Srijana, class-4 received 9/10 on class test of Nepali subject.
  • Saraswati, class-8 received 20/25 on class test of English subject.

 3)      Others:

 

  • An orphaned 9 years old girl PRATIKSHA from remotest region Mugu and also another orphaned girl ROSHANI, 9 years girl from Dhading are protected at SDO-orphanage and admitted and studying at Tilingatar Secondary school on class-3. They both are so lovely, friendly girls and are new-comers at SDO.
  • Dr. Thakur conducted the regular health check up to all girls at child home. Doctor advised all the children are in-good health and good growth as per their age. Priya, 15 years old  is advised to consult eye specialist as she has distance seeing problem. Thank you Dr. Thakur for your love and great help to SDO.
  • A group of young energetic   girls Renu,  Sanuka, Nirmala, Pabitra and  Goma volunteered at SDO for 45 days in order to accomplish their Bachelor in Social Work( BSW) 1st- Year. Thank you Active College , Basundhara for sending students to volunteer at SDO.
  • Now a days ,  as and when they have leisure time , children has the daily routine on planting, weeding, irrigating, caring the flower and vegetables garden at child home. They seemed boundless happy when they are harvesting the vegetables they grown themselves on their own garden.
  • Children celebrated Mother’s-Day and 15th-Ashar festivals with great joys at child home.

 

4) Financial status:

During this 3 months of period we paid- $ 180 for school fees. Food /water purchased/ hygiene -$ 395. School books- $ 30. School dress purchased- $60. Stationery- $55. Telephone installation/ cable TV/ Electricity charges paid-$ 118. Kitchen utensils-$ 70. Maintenance/ misc- $ 122.  Care-Giver and Tution Teacher’s salary paid- $ 330.

  • Our sincere THANKS to Ram Kumar sir and Prabha maam for partly sponsoring to Srijana of class-4 and donating Nrs. 12,000 to continue her school education.
  • We are so thankful to Garima Kandel Memorila Trust( GKMT) for partly sponsoring and providing EQ-scholarship to Sabita as a last installment of Nrs 6,000.  
  • Our thanks to Grainne for your love and donating $ 50 at office.
  • As always we  thanks to our lovely and kind friend Tony, Jan, Leila, Suresh for providing 3 nos. of stand fans, color sets, coloring books, hair clips, puzzle games, shampoo, soaps, toothpaste  to children.
  • As always our sincere gratitude to Sita Ram and Family for providing Stationery and biscuits to children.
  • Our thanks to Dil Bhadur for providing Food-Stuffs on his 76th –Birthday.
  • Thank you Ashok and Family for inviting all children to participate on your son’s Wedding-Party.
  • Thank you Mahesh for providing Sweet-Packs on your Birthday.
  • Thank you Bhuwan and Ranu for providing a delicious Meal on your Birthday.
  • Thank you Pasang, Rubie and Team for providing stationery and snacks pack.
  • Thank you Indira and Apsara for providing delicious Meal to children on the auspicious occasion of Bratabandha of your boys Rupesh and Smit.

 Dear friends, from the love and support from all of you, our hopes are sprouting and getting encouragement to protect more needy children and run the orphanage sustainably. But, due to the  highly increasing market price day by day and rapidly increasing education costs,   it is being hard to provide the fundamental needs to our orphans and abandoned children. Your every donation is precious and will bring the significant changes on the life of these orphans and abandoned children. we look forward for your continuous support, encouragement and hoping that you will spread your kind  words to support on our Cause. These are also your own children.
