Dear Friends,
Shaki's work supporting some of the most vulnerable children in Kinshasa continues despite the increasing challenges of a 2nd wave of coronavirus in the city. There are concerns about the increasing death rate in the capital. This week the UK banned flights from DRC in an effort to prevent the spread of the new variant from South Africa which appears to be more transmissible and has appeared in other countries in southern Africa including Zambia. Without Shaki's help the children she supports would be on the streets and vulnerable to the increasing risk of transmission.
Shaki is making a huge difference in their lives through your support.
With much thanks
Ian Harvey
