2017: Gearing up to combat Japanese encephalitis-with you!

The year has just begun, but PATH’s Japanese encephalitis (JE) teams are already hard at work. Building on our progress in 2016, PATH, country leaders, and our partners are busy laying the foundation—day by day—to bring vaccination against JE to more families.

Where? Nearly everywhere we’re needed. With your support, we’re helping leaders in Bangladesh and Indonesia map out what a vaccine introduction will require, and where the vaccine is needed most. We’re preparing for campaigns in Myanmar—work that includes ordering vaccines, detailing launch plans, and understanding funding needs. In the Philippines, we’re identifying ways PATH can support national plans to introduce the vaccine for the very first time. And in Vietnam, we’re right there as leaders and funders navigate the complex decisions that must happen long before the first nurse picks up a vaccine vial.

In every effort, PATH staff and our partners are putting our expertise, tenacity, and global relationships to work.

As we begin 2017, we want you to know that one thing hasn’t changed: PATH and our partners are still bringing people from all backgrounds together to achieve a powerful, common, and lifesaving goal—to give more children the chance to grow up healthy.

Thank you for standing with us!
