Kokwa project on GlobalGiving platform has been the most successful and many well-wishers have generously contributed to our project supporting many people in the remote Kokwa Island. Thank you so much to all who have supported our project which is now 100% funded. We will be upgrading our project to include more beneficiaries and especially on livelihood support which is now the priority in the Island. It has been very challenging and especially during the covid 19 pandemic. The area has been very dry with very little to do for income generation. Community in the Island mainly depend on fishing for their source of income and food for their families and fishing has not been easy. I visited the Island last week and I was very surprised to see the damage caused by the flooding of the lake last year. The situation is slowly improving but there is so much to be done for the community. The County Government of Baringo and National Government need to intervene to help the community. Our partners have promised continuation of the school feeding program in Kirepari primary school to ensure these young children in the village get at least some meals to keep them going. Thank you to our partners for their support to this community. This week as well they have been distributing scholarships to the vulnerable learners in primary and secondary schools. We also express our gratitude to all who have contributed to the achievement of this project. Your generous support has played a great role to the beneficiaries. As we expand our project, we welcome all you on board for further support and progress. Thank you very much
