Fucho para Ciegos Puebla plans to develop 20 activities based on games and sports with at least 30 women with and without visual disability in Puebla, Mexico, promoting adapted sports with a gender perspective. We plan the consolidation of the first soccer team for blind and visually impaired women "Topas FC", made up of at least 12 women with and without visual disability that will strengthen their interpersonal relationships and improve their social skills such as self-esteem and autonomy.
Women with visual disability in Mexico live in a context of inequality and discrimination that limits the improvement of their socio-emotional skills and affects their social, educational and professional conditions; on the other hand, the low diffusion and lack of support for women's adapted sport limits the opportunities to promote football-5 as a recreational space that encourages the social inclusion of people with visual disabilities and promotes the human rights of persons with disability
Develop workshops with a gender perspective focused on the development of socio-emotional skills designed to strength the autonomy and self-esteem of women with and without visual disabilities. Consolidate the football-5 team of blind and visually impaired women through recreational activities that foster meaningful experiences that promotes social inclusion. Establish strategic alliances through the strengthening of the relation with public and private institutions.
The development of the project will generate strategic alliances with at least 10 organizations that work on issues of sexual and reproductive rights, disability, sport and inclusion, generating in the future spaces that allow the continuous development of the socio-emotional skills of 50 women with and without visual disabilities promoting more visibility of football-5 and developing actions that sensitize the community regarding visual disability
