This project empowers women in rural DRC through skills training, economic support, and gender awareness programs. It helps women gain financial independence, access opportunities, and participate in decision-making. By strengthening women's roles in communities, the project reduces inequality and promotes inclusive, sustainable development.
In rural DRC, over 60% of women lack access to education, income, and decision-making opportunities. Gender inequality limits their economic participation and increases poverty. Many women depend on unstable livelihoods, and cultural barriers prevent them from accessing resources and leadership roles.
The project will train over 300 women in vocational and entrepreneurial skills and provide micro-grants to launch small businesses. Gender awareness campaigns will engage communities to support women's participation. This will increase women's income, confidence, and leadership roles.
Over 1,500 people will benefit directly and indirectly from improved household income and gender equality. Women-led businesses will create jobs and strengthen local economies. Increased participation of women in decision-making will promote sustainable development and social stability.
