The "Mental Health Nepal" project will be conducted by United for Nature and Human (UNH), is to create public awareness about mental health and reduce the harmful stigma surrounding mental illness in Nepali society. This initiative will be carried out through open community-based campaigns in public venues across Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, making mental health education and services directly accessible to the people.
Youth under Pressure. Mental wellness for overseas Nepal people = In Nepal, many young people are struggling with stress, anxiety, and emotional pressure. Suicides rate is higher than global average. Workplace Mental Pressure. Social Judgment and Conservative Culture. Bullying in Schools and Workplaces = Bullying is growing in Nepal, not just in schools but also in offices and online spaces. Many students are bullied for their looks, backgrounds, or personalities. Disrespect towards the Poor.
The main aim of United for Nature and Human (UNH) is to start a national mental health hotline that is supported by the government. This hotline will give people across Nepal a safe place to talk and get help for their mental health anytime they need it. Another solution of UNH is to work with the government to officially add Mental Health Day to the Nepali calendar. This special day will be a reminder every year that mental health matters, and it will help spread awareness, reduce stigma.
By impact of our mental health campaign and the messages UNH illustrate people will also start using radio, TV, social media and sharing real stories and messages that break the silence and stigma around mental health. UNH is here on this journey. Whether people feel low, stressed, or just need someone to talk to, they can always call UNH. Together, we can build a society where mental health is treated with the love, care, and respect it deserves.
