We are thrilled at how far we have come in actualising our goal. We set out with a goal to raise $5,000 to fund ladies pursuing STEM careers and by your immense support, we have reached our goals.
We have raised $4, 508 through GlobalGiving and raised additional funds through other fund raising activities like social media and word of mouth. We could not have gone this far without the support of generous supporters like you.
We have started the selection process of the beneficiaries and look to start disbursement in March. We will be selecting 20 beneficiaries.
We continue to be committed to ensuring the bridge in STEM education for girls are bridged. As part of our commitment, we partnered with IHS Nigeria to train 25 ladies in Scrum. Our objective is to upskill participants to help them secure better employment and earn more from their current employment as scrum masters.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement to Afro Tech Girls. Your contributions are valuable and make a huge impact in the lives of girls in STEM.
