Project 100 for 20 Scholarship Campaign Update
By Ruth Ekwere - Project Manager
We are grateful for your immense support and contribution to our project 100 for 20. We couldn’t have made it this far without your support.
We set out on a goal to raise $5,000 for female students pursuing STEM careers. So far, we have been able to raise $324 through our fundraising activity on GlobalGiving. Through other fundraising activities, we have been able to raise additional $1866. This is a result of the kind generosity of our supporters like you. We look forward to raising more funds through social media and our community outreach.
We are pushing the borders of encouraging more girls to delve into STEM related fields. As part of our initiatives to achieve this goal, we have partnered with IHS Nigeria to provide a 6 week data visualization training to 25 recent female graduates in Nigeria. Our objective is to upskill participants to help them secure better employment and earn more from their current employment as data analysts. We also partnered with the Nigerian breweries to provide a 1 year internship opportunity for 20 girls at the brewery. Through this internship they will get hands-on experience and carve new career paths for themselves.
We are not relenting on our vision to see more girls actively pursue STEM fields. Thank you for constantly being our support and cheerleader. We look forward to even greater impact in the coming season.
Thank you.
