Dear Supporters,

Our Education Team strives to impact positively on the attitudes of our youth. Our goal is that they become responsible adults who exude empathy and compassion for all living, breathing and feeling creatures. One of the main messages we convey to children is the importance of sterilising their pets.

Our Ani-Pals Education Programme promotes sterilisations throughout the year to school children through our Ani-Pals puppet show and encourages them to have their pets sterilised for free by educating them on the benefits to their animal's health and overall positive impact on the community as a whole. The programme runs over three to four weeks at each school and their animals are collected from the school and returned to them after they've been sterilised.

The communities in which we conduct our Ani-Pals Education programme are areas that are in desperate need of intervention within Cape Town. Sterilising animals decreases the number of disease ridden, neglected, starving and abused dogs and cats and has a direct positive effect on the health of all animals within that community by reducing the number of animals with diseases and parasites. It also helps to prevent the transmission of zoonotic diseases to children and families.

Teaching children compassion for animals not only creates a kinder world for animals but also paves the way for a humane and ethically responsible society.

Your support enables us to instill these values in children from disadvantages communities. Please donate today and help us sterilise a child's beloved pet.

Kind regards,

Joette
