Primary Health Center & Lab to Serve 30,000 People

We are thrilled to report the success of our recent Annual Health Fair, which was held in august. Thanks to the generous support from you the event was a remarkable success, serving over 1,000 community members.

Key Highlights:

• Attendance: Over 1,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds attended the health fair.
• Screenings and Treatments Provided: Comprehensive health screenings and treatments were offered, including blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings, cholesterol testing, BMI evaluations, vision tests, cancer screening and vaccinations.
• Partnerships:
• Our strong collaboration with local universities allowed us to bring in students, faculty, and health professionals to provide additional services, such as mental health counseling, nutritional advice, and fitness assessments.
• A local health facility and ministry of health partnered with us to provide experienced medical staff, equipment, and resources to ensure efficient and high-quality care for all attendees.
• Health Education: Along with screenings, we offered a variety of educational sessions on preventive care, healthy eating, and disease management to empower attendees with the tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Impact:

• Community Reach: The event attracted individuals of all age groups, providing crucial services to underserved populations.
• Immediate Health Outcomes: Several individuals were referred to follow-up care for critical health concerns identified during the screenings. This early intervention will be lifesaving for many.
• Long-term Benefits: By educating attendees on preventive care and connecting them with local health resources, we are building a healthier community with better access to healthcare.

We are pleased to announce that we have received a generous donation from Afya. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their support.

Thanks to this donation, we have been able to distribute essential mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes to our community. This aid has had a profound impact, particularly for patients who have suffered strokes and have been homebound for years. For the first time in years, many of these individuals are now able to leave their homes and regain a sense of independence.

The work we do makes a significant difference in people’s lives. We are deeply grateful to all of you who support us, and we hope you will continue to do so in the future
