Protecting Mothers and Children: Our Impact Through Vaccinations
Access to vaccines is one of the most effective ways to save lives and prevent the spread of dangerous diseases, especially in vulnerable communities. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we successfully vaccinated over 17,000 pregnant women and children last year in Ouelessebougou. This life-saving initiative helps ensure that newborns enter the world with stronger immune systems and that expecting mothers have the protection they need for a healthy pregnancy.
We are committed to building on this success in 2025. With your continued support, we are well on our way to reaching thousands more mothers and children this year. Our recent vaccination efforts have already made a significant impact:
These numbers represent more than just statistics—they reflect healthier families, stronger communities, and a brighter future for the next generation. Vaccinations are essential in preventing life-threatening diseases such as measles, polio, and tetanus, which continue to pose serious risks in many rural areas of Mali. By ensuring access to these critical vaccines, we are reducing mortality rates and empowering families with better health outcomes.
However, there is still work to be done. Many children in Ouelessebougou remain at risk due to limited healthcare resources. With your help, we can continue to expand our reach, providing vaccines and medical care to those who need it most.
Your continued support will ensure this remains possible. Together, we are creating lasting change and improving the quality of life for thousands of families.
With deepest gratitude,
