HDI is happy to announce that they have now opened their 'Center for Health and Rights!'
After months of planning and preparation, on July 1st, HDI officially opened the doors to it's new SRHR clinic.  This clinic was conceived as an expansion and addition to the current SRHR education work we are doing in the schools and among out-of-school at risk youth.
The clinic will serve as an SRHR resource for in-school and out-of-school underserved and vulnerable youth.  The clinic is located on the bottom floor of Health Development Initiative's office in an area that is geographically accessable for many hard-to-reach, at-risk youth. The sexual and reproductive health services being offered are: HIV testing, voluntary counseling, consultation and treatment of STIs, counseling and other services on sexual and reproductive health and rights, and community health and education.
During it's second open week, the 'Center for Health and Rights' served 53 individuals. Forty-three of those who came recieved VCT. This is a HUGE sucess. HDI will have it's clinic doors open on Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, and looks forward to offering even more SRHR services for hard-to-reach, at-risk youth.
HDI would like to thank you for your support in Preventing HIV/AIDS among Rwandan Youth.
