Summary

Our "Local Power" initiative transforms global development by shifting resources and decision-making to local organizations. We connect community leaders with tools, funding, and networks to lead their own development solutions while helping international partners adapt their approaches. This collaborative platform bridges the gap between commitment and action, creating more equitable, effective, and sustainable change led by those closest to the challenges.

Challenge

Global aid often operates with decisions made far from the communities being served. Local organizations have the knowledge and relationships to create lasting change but lack funding and decision-making power. International groups want to support local leadership but don't know how to change their practices. Meanwhile, funders struggle to determine which changes would make their resources most effective for communities.

Solution

Our platform connects local organizations with the tools, training, and funding they need to lead their own development. We offer practical resources, expert guidance, and collaborative learning spaces where organizations can share what works. This helps international partners adapt their approaches to truly support local leadership, while showing funders how to effectively resource community-driven solutions.

Long-Term Impact

This initiative will transform how development works by putting local communities in the driver's seat. When those closest to challenges have the resources and authority to address them, solutions are more effective and sustainable. Over time, this creates a more equitable system where international organizations serve as supportive partners rather than decision-makers, and funding flows directly to local innovation.
