Legacy Starts with a Conversation
What does real legacy look like?
Sometimes, it shows up as a bold new business decision.
Other times, it’s a room full of 14-year-old girls learning about their bodies, for the very first time.
And sometimes? It looks like the doors opening on a newly rebuilt school, surrounded by hundreds of cheering parents, students, and leaders.
Thanks to your support of the Possibility Fund, all three are true. And they remind us: real impact starts small, then ripples outward.

Spotlight: MyDawa Day at Ngeya Girls High School
On May 9th, a powerful new partnership came to life at Ngeya Girls High School.
Through the leadership of our embedded Village Impact Counsellor, Connie, and the support of Milkah, Joanne, and the rest of our team, we welcomed a full delegation from MyDawa, Kenya’s leading online pharmacy, for a full-day, stigma-free workshop on menstrual health, hygiene, and reproductive well-being.
Led by Dr. Samira, the MyDawa team of nine health professionals created a space where 450 girls engaged openly, many accessing this level of education for the very first time.
The sessions covered:
How to track and understand the menstrual health cycle
Safe hygiene practices during menstruation
Navigating physical and emotional changes during adolescence
Hands-on training in using and disposing of sanitary towels
An introduction to family planning and informed future choices
As part of the day, MyDawa also donated sanitary pads for every girl in attendance—a game-changing gift for girls who often miss school simply because they don’t have access to menstrual products.
One student told us:
“I didn’t know I could ask questions like this. It made me feel safe.”
You can catch a glimpse of the day here.
Why This Matters
Across rural Kenya, menstrual health remains a deeply stigmatized topic. Many girls miss class during their periods—not because they want to, but because they have no choice.
And for many students, stepping into a classroom at all has been just as uncertain—due to crumbling infrastructure, lack of resources, or distance to the nearest school.

More Than Just Pads: A Whole-School Approach
In that same spirit of dignity and possibility, we’re proud to share another powerful milestone: the expansion of our Cycles of Dignity pilot, which has now delivered reusable pad kits to every high school girl across our partner schools.
These thoughtfully designed kits—made to last 3–5 years—are distributed alongside wraparound support from our counselling team. But the real impact isn’t just in the product. It’s in the conversations that follow:
“Can I still swim?”
“What if I get blood on my skirt?”
“Is it true I can’t eat eggs on my period?”
Questions once silenced by shame are now met with understanding, reassurance, and truth.
And while the girls gathered, so did the boys—led by our incredible male staff team, including Phil, Sam, and even Stephen, our head gardener at Bustani Manor. They came together to talk about respect, emotional intelligence, and healthy masculinity.
They didn’t stand on the sidelines.
They became part of the shift.
This is how we do it at Village Impact:
Whole-school. Whole-hearted. Rooted in dignity.
Next up: we’re extending this program to reach all menstruating-age girls in our junior high schools, so that every student has the tools, knowledge, and support she needs to show up fully.
And with your continued support, this movement is only just getting started.

A Celebration to Remember: Village Impact’s 16th School Opens
While conversations about dignity and health were transforming lives at Ngeya, something just as powerful was unfolding in another corner of our community.
We officially opened Amani Primary and Junior School—our 16th Village Impact school.
This wasn’t just a ribbon-cutting. It was a full-scale, community-powered celebration.
This complete school renovation included:
8 brand new classrooms
A fully equipped administration block
Modern washrooms for both students and teachers
And two Early Childhood Development classrooms—currently in their final stages of completion
Over three unforgettable days, we camped out on the school grounds with an incredible group of donors—sharing meals, stories, and purpose under the stars.
The grand reopening brought together over 1,300 community members—mums, dads, caregivers, grandparents, local MPs and leaders—gathered to witness what’s possible when partnership turns into action.
Have a look here at the celebration!
This is what your support makes possible.
Not just buildings, but doors opening. Futures expanding. Possibilities multiplying.

Entrepreneurship Meets Impact: Inside the Impact Club
Your gift doesn’t just empower students in Kenya. It’s part of a larger movement to reimagine how business and giving can work together.
Inside Impact Club—our monthly community for entrepreneurial donors—members are asking bold questions:
How do we build businesses that create change—not just profit?
What does real legacy look like when it’s built with intention?
As longtime supporter Ryan Levesque reminded us:
“The best things in life don’t scale. They ripple. They root. They matter.”
That’s the spirit of the Possibility Fund. It’s not about volume. It’s about depth. It’s about impact that grows from the inside out.

With Gratitude
On behalf of the students, counsellors, staff, and communities you help uplift—thank you.
You’re not just funding change.
You’re fueling possibility.
And there is so much more to come.
With deep appreciation,
Sylvia Brade
