The water Project Engineer was contacted and a trip to Iwokiri community has been scheduled and carried out on the 29th of June 2025. Accompanying me with the project engineer were two volunteer staff of the foundation, and fuel was purchased for my private car for a trip to Iwokiri community, which lasted over an hour.
The team reached a nearby community and a boat ride, which lasted for about twenty minutes was embarked upon.
On arrival at the community, measurements were been taken and an engineering bill of quatuties is expected to be ready soon. The terrain being a swampy terrain has to be tested and the results of the soil test is delaying the BOQ.
Once the BOQ is ready, construction will commence according to the availability of funds.
