When political riots began in June 2021, the country was not ready to withsdtand the force of pro democracy groups. Women and children who were already on the vulnerable side were further propeled into poverty. We started this project to assist with our:
- Psychosocial Support Interventions for abuse cases. Abuse cases increased exponentially during the past two years so our PSS department has had to scale up their cases.
- Food Support
- Dignatary Packs
Unfortunatley we haven't been able to raise an amount that would allow for us to scale up our services to the community. Understandably so as the whole world has been having a tough time this past year so there is great need everywhere. With the 660USD we recieved, we were able to support 8 women with dignatary packs, food and a portion went into our Psychosocial support interventions which were largely restorative. We hope to keep getting support so we can support more women as even though things have died down a bit, there is still tension and sporadic cases of violence and arson.
