Emergency Bread for Gaza, Syria, Turkey & Sudan

Inside Al-Dhahiriya Camp in northern Syria, displaced families are trying to move forward despite the many hardships caused by displacement. Yet securing enough food each day remains one of their most urgent challenges, especially for households without a stable source of income or enough resources to purchase food regularly.

For this reason, we continue to focus on assistance that meets families’ immediate needs, and one of the most important forms of support is providing fresh bread.

During this initiative, bread was distributed to families living in the camp, helping provide a basic food item that households can rely on as part of their daily meals.

For people living in stable conditions, buying bread may be a simple task that requires little thought. But inside displacement camps, every expense matters, and every food distribution can help a family preserve part of its limited income or use it to meet another essential need.

Providing bread directly ensures that donor support is transformed into clear, practical assistance: food that reaches the table and benefits every member of the family.

Inside Al-Dhahiriya Camp in northern Syria, displaced families are living through ongoing economic and humanitarian hardship. Years of displacement have left many households with few resources and limited opportunities to provide consistent food for their children.

One of the greatest daily concerns for these families is securing basic food, and fresh bread remains one of the most essential items in their diet. When household income is extremely limited, even the cost of daily bread can become a serious burden.

In response to this need, our team distributed freshly prepared bread to displaced families throughout Al-Dhahiriya Camp in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The bread was delivered directly to families, helping them meet one of their most immediate daily needs.

This type of assistance may appear simple, but its impact is deeply felt. For a family facing food insecurity, fresh bread means fewer worries about the next meal and greater security for children and vulnerable family members.

Our work does not end with a single distribution. The continued need across displacement camps makes regular food assistance essential for families who have very few alternatives.
